Berlin/Germany FEZ Wuhlheide, 26. Mai 2001 In the 80’s Samantha Fox, Howard Jones and Nik Kershaw were superstars, but their time is over and the 17,000 people at the arena “Wuhlheide” in Berlin let them know it. About 8:30, after Nik Kershaw (who looked peeved), Jimmy came on stage and what happened next was pure insanity.        The 17,000 fans started dancing and celebrating to each song of Jimmy Somerville, with Jimmy enjoying every moment of his biggest concert in years.  When he sang “Can’t Take My Eyes off of You” he told the crowd to sing, and they did.  A girl threw a teddybear with a letter on stage and Jimmy pocketed the teddy and smelled the letter.    Because of lack of time due to the organiser Jimmy had to leave the stage without an encore and the disappointment was big. But it was a great gig - Rock on, Jimmy!
