TOURNAI BELGIUM 16.02.02

The concert was suppoosed to take place in a disused factory, transformed into a night club : Le Pure. I was surprised that nothing was announcing the event. Not even the place was indicated. The red brick made building was huge but the show room was kind of intimate. It was like a heated box in a vast cold room. At 12 :30, the crowd was already dense. A travestite had dressed up into a bat and was showing his translucent high heel shoes, walking on the bar table. Jimmy arrived at 2 or 3 o’ clock in the morning and asked wether he should say « Bonsoir » or « Bonjour » The show started with the tireless song YOU MAKE ME FEEL. Then HEARTBEAT, DON’T LEAVE ME THIS WAY, I FEEL LOVE, at the end I NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE. During the concert, Matthew, Gillian and Jimmy gave all they could to the public (I didn’t noticed anything abnormal) but the atmosphere could have been more delirious. Was it a technical problem in the sound ? Adding to that, siren shots occured and Jimmy bothered asked « Who’s got the orn ? This is NOT rugby ! ». After the show, all 3 returned to their private room. I waited quite a while near its door. Matthew and Gillian came out, a few minutes later Jimmy appeared. We shakked hands (I was jubilant) and talked a little in the disco noise. That was so kind of him. For this first encounter with Jimmy, it was enough emotion for this Perfect Day !
