Afterworks Club Opening Party / Volksgarten Banane, Wienna 02. June 2005
After
16 years we found the possibility to see Jimmy in live! When it appeared on
this page the Opening party of Afterworx Club in Volsgarten Banane Wienna we
decided to participate on it (thanks a lot for the info for you). We are
friends since a long time and in 1990 we established a Jimmy Somerville Fan
Club in Budapest/Hungary, so 02/06/2005 was the big day for us when our
dreams came true.
We arrived at 10.30 to the Club. The show had to be start at midnight but
the only at quarter past midnight was the stage all set. We recognised the
set list sticked on the stage (Mighty Real, Why, Come on, I feel love, Could
it be love, Small town boy, Don't leave me this way) and finally Jimmy
appeared behind the stage at one o'clock. 
His
voice is amazing in live over on our bravest expectations. The two vocalists
have also great voice and it was good to see how they feel each other on the
stage. Regret the "Could it be love" was missed from the queue, but Jimmy
set the crown to the show with the "Don't leave me this way". After the show
they disappeared but we tried to follow them and we entered into the
"private" party where their "dressing room" was. Finally a young lady helped
for us to get signs from Jimmy to our photos and CD covers. Suddenly Jimmy
came to us and we had a friendly short conversation about our old photo, why
He stopped play badminton (one of our favourite sports) and so on and we
ended with our photo with Jimmy. Jimmy let us go by kisses. Unbelievable
night and fantastic souvenir.
